The initial part of the upgrade to the Mastermelt Refining Service plant at Buxton is underway and the photo shows the first part of the new gas abatement system.

This actually only represents approx 30% of the total equipment that will be installed when completed in a few weeks time. When finished it will provide the site with the best available technology in gas abatement so providing our customers with the assurances their materials are being processed in an environmentally responsible way.

Congratulations go to the Buxton team as a lot of detailed work has been undertaken both in engineering and in planning in conjunction with the Environmental Agency and Derbyshire Council.

The aim is to have the new plant and additional burning capacity operation by the New Year.
